The Center School District is excited to announce a new member of our leadership team as we welcome Dr. Amy Casey who joins Center as the Assistant Superintendent of Accelerated Learning.
Dr. Casey is a long-time educator in the Kansas City area. She started her career as an Elementary Music teacher in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Casey also served students in St. Joseph and North Kansas City, Missouri teaching music and 5th grade. She spent 18 years as an administrator In North Kansas City holding Assistant Principal and Principal positions at three different schools.
Areas of expertise include PBIS, MTSS, and Professional Learning Communities. Dr. Casey has also been extensively involved in equity work, both in district leadership roles and as an internal trainer for the North Kansas City schools.
Dr. Casey shares that “I am thrilled to be a part of the Center family! I look forward to serving our community through heartfelt connections, high-quality and real-world learning experiences for all, always keeping our students at the heart of our mission.”
The Center School District is also proud to announce that Ms. Megan Fisher has accepted a new assignment as the Coordinator of Accelerated Learning. Ms. Fisher has been with Center for 4 years and is excited to move into this important role.
Ms. Fisher started her education career teaching elementary students in the Raytown School District. She became part of the staff at Center Elementary in 2019 and has served as a 5th Grade Teacher and Teacher Leader. She has served the past two years as an Instructional Coach at Indian Creek Elementary. She has extensive experience in data analysis, curriculum design, instructional coaching, and student assessment.
Ms. Fisher shares, “I am excited to continue to serve Center School District students and staff as the Coordinator of Accelerated Learning. I am looking forward to partnering with each of you to ensure student success.”
