Dear Student, Parent (s) and/or Guardian:

Center High School welcomes you back to another academic year. We are excited to continue to build upon the great tradition of academic success that we have established in our high school. CHS is a Gold Star School and National Blue Ribbon nominee that is accredited with distinction. For the past several years, we have had both National Merit Semi-Finalists and National Merit Scholars. Our test scores continue to be on the rise because of the great staff, students, and community that we have at Center High School.

This year, we are fortunate to introduce a new One-to-One Initiative that will allow us to build upon Center High School’s rich academic tradition by placing a laptop computer in the hands of every student. Our students will now have every technological advantage to compete in today’s technology rich society. We are looking forward to the amazing opportunities this initiative will bring to our students and staff.

In addition to our tradition of academic excellence, we have more than 25 clubs and 14 sports teams. Our clubs and sports have excelled and won multiple championships and awards in recent years. It is Center High School’s belief that students who are involved in school-sponsored activities and athletics achieve better in school and learn skills that will enable them to have future success.

Center High School is devoted to providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare them to be college and career ready when they leave us. We believe that all of our students can achieve, and Center High School is dedicated to making that happen. We look forward to you joining us as we embark upon another amazing year at Center High School.

Mr. Joe Gunderson
